Fishing Adventures

3-15-10 Applegate again… :)

3 trips in 3 days to my favorite lake, life is wonderful. I only got 3 keepers on monday, which is ok, now i have 12 trout that are about to be smoked. I caught one trout that was about 5 inches which surprised me, i thought only stocked trout were in this lake i guess not. All fish and bites came on night crawlers. Was a wonderful day, a sunny 70 degrees, it was quite windy though, blowing warm and cold air which was different. Before i started fishing i went over to Carberry Creek for some photos and exploring. I found a bunch of trash some of which ended up in my pockets ,some i left like broken bottles and such. I did find a really awesome switch blade knife though, i looked it up on online and its 50 dollars retail!!!  Also the other day i didnt mention it but i found a SOU Geology 10x Magnifying glass. And to the pictures….

During the summer when the lake is full you can swim to that rock and jump off it, people also jump off that bridge.

Here is the small fish i caught, the people at Oregonfishingforum say its a land locked salmon.

Wonderful pictures. Your area is certainly beautiful. Glad the fishing was enough to keep you interested.

  2. There is no shame in being intimately familiar with your local waters. I plan to become more familiar with mine. It is a lot more economical and brings a true sense of pride to be able to catch fish in your local waters.

    Congrats on the finds!

    Tight Lines!
