Non Fishing Report post

I have a few things i want to touch on. I tend to only post when i have a report, but once in awhile i got a non fishing report thats interesting enough to post 😀

First of all id like you all to know about Recycled Fish. Recycled Fish is the national non-profit organization of “anglers living a Lifestyle of Stewardship both on and off the water, because Our Lifestyle Runs Downstream.” Its a great group of people and theyre doing some awesome things that i recommend you all check out!  Also right now they’re having a contest where you can win a custom rod, all you gotta do is tell some one about Recycled Fish. How easy is that?!?! The contest ends in one day, so hurry up and enter. Enter the contest HERE

Secondly. Id like to inform you about a contest going on over at Abnormal Outdoors. It appears that each month Ben will hold a contest for stories that were reader submitted on his blog. A $10 Dicks Sporting Goods gift card is up for grabs. So go vote for the Bigfoot Sighting. Since my town doesnt have a Dicks, my plans are if i win to do a contest of my own on this here blog. VOTE HERE

Thirdly. Id like to do a Blogroll shout out. The first blog is a semi new blog and its chalk full of awesome stories and cool fish porn photos from Oregon to Alaska. The blog im talking about is the River Keeper. The Author of the blog Brad is a member of the Oregon Fishing Forum that im part of. He’s one of the most colorful people that are on there and also one on the most knowledgeable. Iv asked for advice a few times from him and hes shared some great info with me. I hope you all check his blog out and leave him some comments!

Fourthly. Recently over at the Outdoor Blogger Network they had a writing prompt. They want to know if you had the chance to meet a fellow Outdoor Blogger who would it be and why. The first person would be Brad from over at the River Keeper. I know if i were to fish the river with him for one day id gain so much more info on how to fish flowing water then what i know right now. Plus it would be great time full of laughs im sure. The second person is the Outdoor Blogging godfather Mel from Blog Cabin Angler. Like many other bloggers out there Mel was my first follower, and you can always count on him for leaving some great comments. I know for a fact with out Mel the Outdoor Blogging community wouldnt be the same. Thanks for all you’ve done Mel, and if your ever in Oregon make sure you give me a holler so we can wet a line! The third and last person would be Mark from over at Northern California Trout. Marks been running an absolutely great blog for some time now. He runs his blog kinda like i do mine, mostly fishing reports and no nonsense. Mark mostly fishes for trout in his local ponds and lakes, but you can also find him at the rivers trying to catch steelhead and shad some times. He’s a great guy and id love to sit down at a lake and plunk some powerbait and toss spinners and share fishing stories with him.

Fifthly. If you’ve read my blog once or many times you have probably noticed that my blog is kind of based around pictures. Like in real life i dont usually have much to say. So i kinda let the photos tell the strory. So ill end this post with a picture i took yesterday February the 1st. Ill do a full report later and include more photos and the story. Thank you all for reading. Tight Lines!

  4. Mel

Thank you so much for your sincerity in your comments about me. I am very humbled to be spoken of in that manner. I have made it my mission to help as many outdoor bloggers get started and stay hooked on blogging as possible. The outdoor blogging world has come along way.

Not if, but when, I get to Oregon again some day we will wet a line together and tell a few stories. Your area is a beautiful area it seems.

  5. You might get your wish before you know it. I’ve been thinking about coming up your way for some time now. Might not be until Fall or next Winter (for some trout fishing), but I’ll be up there sometime soon.
